Dyke Life wonderful non-fiction reading matereal
The thing i enjoyed most about this non-fiction lesbian book was the wide selection of topics. From lesbians in the work place, aging lesbians, marriage, etc, this book has a great "wideness" to it. Not to mention, each topic is split up perfectly, making whatever information you are looking for easy to find.

Earth Stories Audio Tape
Wonderful story of Herman and Marguriet and how change is good for people. The voices Jay makes for each character are so clear, but not contrived. The message of the story is wonderful for every age group. Fun to listen to while traveling in the car.

The Eaten Word: The Language of Food, the Food in Our Language
Published in Hardcover by Birch Lane Pr (April, 1995)
Author: Jay Jacobs
Average review score:

Incredible
A fascinating study of the link between food and language. Incredible. I laughed, cried, danced around the fire naked. Jay was an all-star outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 40's; he also once had dinner with the Pope, Ernest Hemingway, Louie Armstrong, Mookie Wilson and Lassie. These experiences, coupled with an unparalleled knowledge of food and language, make this book indispensable.

Poetry reminiscent of T.S. Eliot's _Four Quartets_
A magical realism feel in a tapestry of song, imagery and mystical experience transports the reader into the middle of an intellectual dance. Worth reading. Worth owning. True art. True poetry.

Elizabeth R: The Role of the Monarchy Today
Published in Hardcover by Bbc Pubns (May, 1900)
Author: Antony Jay
Average review score:

In defense of Her Majesty...
The author of this book, Antony Jay, has himself admitted that this book and the accompanying film was a propaganda exercise by the Palace to put across to the people what exactly the Queen is for. He spends this book explaing just that in various points. His defense of the Queen is actually very persuasive and he cleanly rebuts several popular arguments. I myself found this book very informative but a little heavy to digest all at once. If you want to learn, this book is for you, but I prefer to sit back and look at the many excellent pictures it contains. However, overall, it really is quite a good book... and it's high time someone stood up for The Queen anyway. Well done.

AuthorZone.Com Book Review
Changer, a shape-shifter and the youngest son of Enchanta's King Wisher joins New Jersey residents, David and Barbara Morgan in their quest to aid the King. Unfortunately for the people of Enchanta, Wisher has lost his power for wishing during an earthquake. Wings, a flying horse has been sent by the King to find someone who can help save the land from total destruction by the frightful Beneathians. The children along with Changer set out to locate Changer's older brothers, Inventor and Pretender.

Enchanta has been overrun by cruel Beneathians who came up from the center of their world. The Beneathians captured Queen Hope and without Hope King Wisher has stopped believing in his magical powers. David and Barbara are able to reunite the King and his sons. Once reunited the group is ready to try to locate and rescue Queen Hope. During their quest the children meet an interesting group of Enchanta residents including a shaggy-haired barbarian, a babbling brook that really babbles but offers little more than useless prattle, as well as a friendly ram and a curious lion.

Enchanta is the first in a trilogy of playful offerings by writer Jay Dubya. Filled with nonsensical riddles, ludicrous puns, plays on words and hidden meanings this humorous tale is sure to tickle the funny bone of the 8-11 set. Hidden within jocularity, buffoonery and absurdity are themes of self reliance, conviction and bravery as otherwise implausible characters join in the spirit of challenging experiences. The narrative technique employed by writer Jay Dubya is at times a bit adult for younger kids, nevertheless the humor and silliness filling the work through fun with words and ideas makes Enchanta a good giggle for kids.

The Everything Vegetarian Cookbook: 300 Healthy Recipes Everyone Will Enjoy (Everything Series)
Published in Paperback by Adams Media Corporation (June, 2002)
Author: Jay Weinstein
Average review score:

Fun Commentary
Even if you never use a single recipe from this book, the amusing commentary blurbs make it worth reading. Jay Weinstein has a great sense of humor which is shown in several little textboxes throughout this cookbook.
By the way, you shouldn't have any problems using recipes from this book. There are many yummy ones to choose from, with clear and easy-to-follow directions, as well as useful information on vegetarianism. I think this is a great book, not just for vegetarians, but for people who have decided to eat healthier by having a few meatless nights, or parents who may be struggiling to find something to cook for their newly vegetarian son or daughter.
Oh, one more plus. This book is NOT filled with exotic expensive items you'll have to raid specialty shops for. You can find most of what you'll need at a regular grocery store.
